Abhichart Krissanaprasit graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (Bangkok, Thailand). In 2014, he received his PhD in Biotechnology under supervision of Associate Professor Werasak Surareungchai (King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok, Thailand). During his PhD period, he was a visiting PhD student in the group of Professor Kurt V. Gothelf at Aarhus University, Denmark, from August 2012 – July 2013.
His PhD dissertation focused on DNA nanostructure for multiplexed detection and molecular walker. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Gothelf’s group since June 2014.
His research interests are:
- development of self-assembly 2D DNA nanoribbon using metastable hairpin
- wiring and dynamic switching direction of polymer on DNA origami.
Abhichart is currently employed as a Post doc at assoc. prof. Thomas LaBean, North Carolina State University.
