Vipin Kumar obtained his PhD degree in Chemical Biology (2014) under supervision of Associate Professor Venkitasamy Kesavan from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), India. During his PhD, he was a visiting student in the group of Professor Kurt V. Gothelf from May 2013 – March 2014.
His PhD thesis was focused on “Development of Artificial Nucleic Acids”. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Gothelf’s lab July 2014 to January 2017.
Vipin was working on the Ribosome-inactivating protein (RIP) – Oligonucleotide conjugation and synthesis of artificial nucleic acids.
